Allie is 18 days today.
Doesn't sound like too long, but long enough for me to start getting used to this life. It's kinda fun - not working - just hanging out with Allie all day.
But it's also kind of tiring - waking up every 3 hours to feed her, only for her to fuss for the next 2. haha amy knows!
Amy visited for 4 days and it was great. We did lots - we took Allie to Mad Mex, Panera, the movies, Target! She was out and about. We also did a lot of relaxing - watching the NCAA tournament.
It's been fun.
I've been getting visitors like crazy. It's always fun. Allie is good entertainment. I could just sit and watch her move her mouth all day, or see her feet move. It's so cute!
I still get frustrated with the situation I'm in.... but then I just look at her and realize it's all worth it.
Mom's requesting off for a few days during Senior week, so hopefully everything works out and I can make it up to Milwaukee for a few nights. It'd be great to see everyone! And by then Allie will be 2 months so she won't need fed AS often. hahah.
Allie has a friend already. One of the girls I work with has a friend who has a 7month old. Her name is Brenna and her daughter is Lucy. I met them when I was pregnant and they're great. Brenna and Ken are one of those cute punk couples and they've got an adorable little girl. She's come over twice since Allie's been born, and it's great to see the two of them together. Lucy is 8 months and looks HUGE compared to Allie. And it makes me really anxious for ALlie to get bigger and be able to play and smile and stand like Lucy, but I don't wanna rush anything. There's nothing more precious than a newborn. Anyways - I'm really excited to become friends with Brenna, and I think it'll be good for Allie too.

I haven't updated my journal since this summer.
Part of the reason was that I did not want to think or share with anyone the mess that I made of my life. I had some good friends who I oonfided in, but other than that, I closed myself off.
Being pregnant was a condition.
Now that Allie has been born, there is new life.
I am so much happier, I cannot explain it.
Those emotionally straining 9 months are over.
Now I get to enjoy sleepless nights, poopey diapers, and the stresses of raising a child.
Hey, I'll take it.

| summers getting going |

so ive been back for 3 weeks. i guess it feels that long. i already got 3 credits while ive been home. easiest 3 credits.... by far! im glad thats over with. and hell week - working 6am 5 days in a row is alsooo over. wooppeee!
carly and julie are in town this weekend. mike was supposed to be too, but his ride bailed. blah. i was gonna go to the arts festival with him to see aimee mann and ben lee... i dont even know if ill go anymore. maybe my sister would like to go.
so im gonna be home for another 3 or 4 weeks before coming back to milwaukee. i didnt wanna come back too early cuz i dont start work til july 18th, and i hate being in milwaukee doing nothing, when i could be in pittsburgh still working. so that's that, but i defintiely wanna get back to milwaukee soon. i miss it. i miss terry. we've been talking a lot lately and things are looking uphill.
cars still not ready.... hardly made any progress. my dad isnt putting it as priority and i dont know what to do without his help. although i did order speakers off some guy and they should be on their way.
well i guess thats that. still trying to plan the trip to milwaukee with my friends. also thinking baout visiting my brother in boston. he's leaving tomorrow i think. and....
he found a kickass place.
its a 3bdrm and he's sharing it with 2 other guys. they found these kids who were having trouble finding subletters, so they offered them 1/2 the price, and they figured that was better than nothing, so they're each only paying 180/month. its furnished, has internet and cable and everything. they have to pay utilities but still! i wanna go! |

Hey guys. I'm back in the 'burgh. It's really nice to be home. My mom and I are hanging out a lot. Same with my brother and sister. Although my brother disappeared and turns out he took the car and drove to Boston. Why am i not surprised?
I got my new car and I'm so excited. It's a green '96 Jetta. It looks so pretty. Me and my dad washed it and cleaned the tires, and vaccuumed. We have to put a new clutch in but I'm hoping it's ready by next week.
My summer class is half way over. That's what's nice about a 3 week class. It's really easy too, so I lucked out. Next week is going to suck though -- I work from 530-noon and then I go to class from 1-430. I'm gonna fall asleep in class, I just know it.
I'm trying to get Natalie and LIz (2 friends from pittsburgh) to come back to milwaukee with me on the 7th. We could go see Weezer the pixies and Death cab, and then i can take them on brewery tours, tailgate at the game or at the lake.... it will be fun. and then they can fly out of chicago for only $29! how exciting. we can hit up navy pier and other places when we're in chicago too. who's down for partying that weekend? (everyone im sure). the plans are still in the works.
so ive been seeing a lot of movies since im back.
cinderella man was great, i loved it.
crash was really intense, but pretty good.
hitch was well... what can you expect?
princess diaries 2 was a guilty pleasure
state and main was pretty funny
cold creek was disturbing
radio was a good flick
13 going on 30 is always a good one to watch
i think thats it, but damn, ive only been home a week.
oh well - watching movies is always entertaining.
im probably going to see all 3 ex-boyfriends while i'm home -- this should be interesting. (dont worry - one of them is gay)

i never in my life have had so many changes in so little time, nor have i ever been so confused.
i just have to keep remembering change can be good.
i have just seemed to stir up so much drama these past 5 days.
i think i need to relax and stop partying.
fri sat sun mon tues --- 5 days straight --- way too much.
may go camping on thursday! yippee.
trying to plan my trip home (ADDS to the confusion/stress)

last night was quite interested.
getting awakened at 230 by amy and joe.
what was the funniest was joe jumping on the bed, yelling "i like spagetti" wow i thought he was gonna break the bed.
but no, amy was hilarous! chatty martinic again for sure! (you guys are familiar) but i hope we can have one last night of that before summer starts.
who knows if that will happen because this summer is the most confusing summer ever! its funny bc i think that only half of the people have plans all under control.
this weekend was pretty sucky. friday i went out to eat at the safehouse and to the dance party at the best western with lindsey, that was fun. then we walked to the corner, but when we got there, all of our friends had left, so wej ust walked right back :-(
a little drama friday, actually.... a lot of drama, KATY I AM SO SORRY THAT YOU BECAME INVOLVED.
the rest of the weekend was all homework and no fun.... except for saturday when me and terry went to see amityville horror. it was nice getting away, and it was nice to see a movie in a theatre (it had been a while)... plus scary movies are always fun, especially when they're not corny horror flicks.
ill let you guys know my summer plans when i get them finalized.

Phewww... almost the end of the semester. CANNOT WAIT!
this weekend should be fun, but i gotta get a lotta work done too.
cancun party on friday! hopefully the after party will be as good as last year.
i got 1 test, 1 project, 2 homework assignments, 2 labs, and 5 finals left. AH still sounds like a lot.
but after that, i'm outa school for 7 months.
i got hired at harley as a co-op for the end of summer and next fall, so im stoked.
so my summer plans are to stay here til june 1st, working part time at my internship and then move into my new room, (down the hall), and then go home for a month! when i come back, maybe work at summerfest for 2 weeks, or maybe go to summerfest for two weeks. then i start my co-op mid july and dont finish until christmas time!
fun stuff, now i can enjoy the semester, sleep well, and have a good social life.... plus ill be making money.
i dont know why im so happy, im at work right now and i have a test in 3 hours, and i could be studying for it.... oh well. i'll survive. |

Wow. I got a lot going on.
I'm currently trying to sell my car. I initially marketed it for $1250 and got 3 responses within 3 hours (yay, right?) but then I was told I could get much more, so I doubled it (eek) to $2500.
I've gotten a numerous amount of responses but only 1 guy has looked at it so far. Let's cross our fingers. I got a little punk 17yr old that's really pissing me off.
Also - I got offered a co-op at Harley for next fall. That would mean work and not school, which woudl require me to stay for an extra semester... no problem, right? But I told my current boss, and she acting a little strang and might be letting me leave my current internship early. strange, right? but hey im not complaining, my job right now is pretty boring, and i dont wanna be here constantly.
this means i may go home after finals and take a summer class.... althoguh i fond an internet class at a community college in pittsburgh, does anyone knwo about hese? do i have to be in pittsburgh to take it? i know you have to live in the city to get a good price. lemme know guys!
but i will be back in milwaukee for half of june probably and july. i applied to work at summerfest during june so im not just sitting aroudn doing nothing. who knows! i applied for security. lol.
this weekend is up in the air. i could get a lot of work done. although a guy from PA showed interest in my car... i figured I'd be back in PA eventually so I shoudl market it there too. If he wants it sooner, I guess i wouldn't mind meeting half way (toledo) - fun road trip, right? we shall see. i also wanna go see the volkswagen that is for sale in chicago.
i cant wait til i get a new car and mine is sold. |

holy shit bridgets updating!!!
its been a verrrry long time. but i have definitely been reading everyone elses. i just didnt think anything too exciting was going on in my life, but im sure there have been a few.
only 4 weeks of class.
this means 20 days of school and 24 days of work.
the countdown is on!
i wanna go back to pittsbugh on may 13th bc my best bud turns 21, BUT i have a final. ill have to work on that.
terry turns 21 on monday - yippppppeeee. seriously things will be so much better. i wont have to feel guilty when going to the bars anymore! we can all go together!
well im out, short update, but maybe now ill be back in the habit. |

Going away for a weekend leaves a stressful week.
Losing your phone + car keys + house keys also leads to more stress.
Having a broken computer just tops it off.
Hopefully things will start shaping up for me.
Houston was great. The weather was awesome, the wedding was SOOO cute. The reception was fun, karaoke was fun, dancing was fun.
The Steelers lost :-( Badly... and I didn't even get to watch it.
I hope the Eagles win the Superbowl.
Sand volleyball game tonight -- i'm excited. Gotta remember to sign up for intramural soccer soon. That was a lot of fun. Let me know if you wanna be on our team.
I have an interview for another job this summer, so wish me luck.
Other than that - nothing else is new.

So... I'm at work right now. Almost done, thank God. Although when I get back I have to finish up some HW and head to class. SUCKS!
I've had a rough couple of days. My car broke down on Kilbourn right at a stop sign. It was pretty stressful because nobody was around to answer their phones. But I got a hold of James, and with the help of a stranger we pushed my car to the side of the road.
I called my friend Jason who works at an auto shop, so we towed it there and they're fixing it today. To make matters worse, the towing company towed my car wrong and bent my tire rods. But Jason talked them and their gonna realign my car for me. YAY.
But I'm headed off to Houston tomorrow, so that will be nice. The weather is supposed to be in the 70's. I can't forget to bring my bathing suit.
I'm kind of disappointed about msising the winter flurry dance and colleen's wine & cheese party beforehand, but I think the wedding is going to be a blast.
The only other downfall is that I'm gonna be in Cleveland for a layover during the Steelers game. But... I'll probably just go to one of those restaurants, get a drink, and watch it there.
Oh and I went to Katy's indoor sand volleyball game and it was awesome. I think that would be amazing if we could get a group together to do that. It's through a bar, and you get a free pitcher if you win. Maybe I should have stayed at the bar and skipped outo n the pukin' party.... you were all there..... |

First day of classes today. Haven't made it to one yet. I usually have 3 labs and a 4:20 class on Tuesdays, but no labs the first week! :-)
I can't really see the screen right because I only have one contact in, so please disregard any typos.
I wanna say, welcome back to davey! this is gonna be a really good semester. we've got tons of 21st birthdays, throw-up parties (this wednesday at terrys!) and much more to come.
Pun - when are you gonna have another Cancun/Mardi Gras party!??!
Last night me and terry went to the Hyatt's restaurant for our 1 year anniversary. It was sooo ncie. The whole thing revolves and you get a view of the whole city. SO that was nice. We got dessert to go since I was so stufffed but we have yet to eat it!!! I'm excited.
Anyways - here's to a good semester!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Hope everyone had a good christmas.
Mine was pretty good. We went to midnight mass (well it was at 10:00, but still). So that was good, they had good music, and I saw a bunch of friends from grade school.
I got to sleep in until 12:30 on Christmas, but then I had to wake up to wrap the gifts from Santa. My mom had to work (hospital) on CHristmas Eve and Christmas, so I helped her out a lot. THen my family from Texas came in and we ate and opened gifts and just had a good time.
Me Pat and Ashley usually go see a movie on Christmas night, but Ashley is in Kentucky, and it got too late by the tiem family was gone that Pat didn't want to go to the theatres. SO i just went over his house and we watched Dawn of the Dead. IT was ok, but I kept dozing off, which sucks. Maybe because we started the movie at 1am. I dunno.
So I slept til 230 today and now I'm tryin to get some stuff accomplished. We have more family stuff today, but probably not for the rest of the night.
I ran into a bunch of friends that are leaving shortly after the new year so I'm trying to hang out with them before they go, it's kind of complicated!!
Cory is coming to Pittsburgh to look at apartments tomorrow, so I'll probably help him out.
I work Tues, Wed, Thursday and Friday I think. Sucks since I work til 630 on New Years Eve, and sucks even more since I don't know what I'm doing yet... EEK!
Well... I gotta hit the shower. That will help me start the day.

phew
finals are OVER my break has begun
i had the intent to get wasted and have tons of fun after my last final and i did indeed.
terry and i went to the light up night at the zoo, and got to see all sorts of fun animals! they played christmas music and had christmas lights shaped as animals, it was amazing.
my roomate from fresh year turned 21 so a bunch of us went out to the bars, and then we hit up a few house parties. it was definitely a good time.
the game today was pretty good. we were sucking at the beginning, but we finally got things together and also pulled through with a win. close game.... very close!
now im just relaxing and its great.
i better clean my room soon, its a complete mess!
but i think im just gonna enjoy doing nothing for a little |

So I'm looking forward to a lot of things:
having a month off of school where i can relax and do whatever the hell i want. nothing feels better than a long break after a sucky semester.
despite how much i would love to have a break forever, there is no escaping another semester after the break. but i can be hopefully that this next semester may be less work and more fun. maybe i can have time to hang out with friends and roomates instead of regretting any time i relax or party since i could have been doing work or studying so that im not diong as bad as i am in my classes.
hopefully ill see amy and terry over break. me and a always visit eachother. last year we did pittsburgh AND maryland, amazing!!! but who knows what will happen with my break, i dont even know when im going home and when im coming back.
i was invited to terrys aunts wedding sat after finals, but i pretty much got uninvited (long story). i was pretty excited abotu the wedding - i mean, weddings are always fun, no matter what. lots of drinking and dancing. plus the invite from the fam meant a lot. but now.... i guess its not so bad, i get to go to the big marquette game, and see motion city soundtrak with amy and her sister. motion city always puts me in a good mood.
PLUS i get to see my stevie over break. we didnt hang out over thanksgiving and i was pissed, but he called and apologized! and i dunno if you guys know steven, but that means a lot coming from him. so hopefully we'll hang out, do some shopping... AHH i have so many gifts to buy. eek.
so despite my excitement about break.... getting through this next week and half is going to be H-E-L-L. and im kinda glad ive got things going on for after finals, bc if not, thats always a weird feeling, suffering through a week of hell and then hurrying up and traveling back.
K - well ive done enough rambling (its ok, i havent written in a while) i gotta get to class. |

i seriously cannot not wait. if it weren't for this test on monday, i'd be going home tomorrow... ahh but i need to stop thinking about that.
ive been getting really stressed out lately, so this break is highly needed.
i get to see my family which is really exciting. i usually dont get homesick (at least for the past 2 years) but i kind of am right now. probably because being at home means no pressure.
but whatever, the semester is almost over. and i'll just hope for a better next semester.
prolly going to the game tomorrow so im excited. tryin' to get a big group together, so if you're interested, lemme know, even if you dont have fanatic tickets, ill see if i can get one.
went to emeporor of china last night on brady street which was really good. im started to realy love milwaukee. the east side is amazing... brady st, water st (both which will be even more amazing once everyone turns 21)

so this weekend should be fun!!
party tonight at our place, ah hem, i mean costume party, so all must come prepared. it should be a fun time. we got two kegs. :-)
then tomorrow im going to madison with amy and her 2 friends (one from maryland and one who goes to madison) hopefully ill meet up with lindsey, but who knows, its gonna be so hectic!
its 750 so i assume people will start coming around 9... well, im hoping not til then, bc i dont even have my costume on yet. i think im gonna be snow white.
all i know is im ready to party!!! |
